Peder Johnsen
Peder Johnsen is the Chief Executive Officer of Concordis Senior Living, LLC. Peder has worked in the senior living industry for 25 years and is responsible for regulatory compliance and the day-to-day operations of the Concordis communities.
Peder’s family has been involved in the senior living industry for three generations, making them one of the early senior living developers/operators in the state of Florida. The Johnsen family developed their first family owned and operated assisted living community in 1980 in central Florida. The Johnsen’s executed a successful strategy of developing, stabilizing and selling assisted living facilities.
In 1995, Peder assumed leadership of his family’s assisted living communities consisting, at that time, of two communities in Marion County, Florida. As administrator of these facilities, Peder was responsible for all aspects of the business, including day to day operations.
Beginning in 2000, Peder renovated and expanded the two existing communities. He later purchased three additional underperforming facilities and made them profitable by way of repositioning and/or renovations.
During this time, he also developed a community from the ground up.
In 2008, Peder teamed with Trent Watkins to establish what is now Concordis Senior Living, LLC. Concordis Senior Living, LLC currently manages Independent, Assisted Living and Memory Care communities throughout Florida.
Tim Watson
Tim Watson is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience in Sales and Operations. With a highly motivated and positive approach to problem-solving, Tim Watson has consistently demonstrated the ability to exceed goals and achieve success through a team-orientated approach. A strategic thinker with a focus on results, Tim Watson is passionate about delivering exceptional value to clients and driving growth through innovative solutions. Throughout his career, Tim Watson has consistently demonstrated a track record of success, making valuable contributions to all of the organizations he has worked with in his successful career.
Jeetpaul Saran MD
Dr. Jeetpaul Saran is a board-certified internal medicine physician, specializing in primary care. While an Ohio native, Dr. Saran moved to Tampa in 2010 and has since established roots in his professional and private life here. He is proud to call Tampa home, where he lives with his wife, Christina, and their son Darwin. In the pursuit to better serve his community, Dr. Saran has taken numerous leadership roles in improving the health of Tampa.
For the last 20 years, Dr. Saran has dedicated his work, to the pursuit of science and the art of patient care. He began focusing his interest on aging and adult medicine after graduating from Dayand Medical College in 2003. He pursued his passion for science and the University of Florida to research Gene Therapy. Publishing five research papers in two years, he was asked to speak at the National Gene Therapy Conference in 2006. He continued on to the University of North Carolina for his Internal Medical Residency. After residency, he found his way back to Florida.
Dr. Saran’s empathy and compassion for his patients made him search for a way to provide better hands-on medical care for his community. This led him to found his outpatient practice, The Health Associates of Tampa, in 2012. He continued his inpatient service as an internist at Tampa General Hospital and HCA South Tampa Hospital, where he took on leadership positions. Starting as Vice Chief of Medicine and moving up to become Vice Chief of Staff for over 6 years. During that time, Dr. Saran focused his time to help found The Florida Physician’s Alliance. This organization helps coordinate the care for patients between their doctors and their doctors and hospitals in the Tampa Bay Area.
He has taken the knowledge of the last 20 years and has now defined his own outpatient practice into an innovative and patient centered model that uses a multimodal approach to better see the entire picture of his patient’s health.
Thanh Nguyen MD
Dr. Thanh Nguyen is a board-certified general surgeon with a strong focus and interest in wound care with over 10 years of experience. She received her medical degree from the University of California at Davis and completed her General Surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin. She moved to Tampa in 2008, joining the Medical Staff of Tampa General Hospital. In 2011, she transitioned to private practice at Memorial Hospital of Tampa, now HCA Florida South Tampa, where she has served as Chief of Surgery and Chief of Staff. She specializes in treating a variety of wounds, both acute and chronic, using advanced wound care techniques and surgical skills. What sets her apart is her use of surgical knowledge and expertise in treating wounds, ensuring optimal outcomes for her patients. She is committed to providing comprehensive and compassionate care to her patients, using a holistic approach, effective communication, and teamwork. She lives in Tampa with her family.
Julia Thrasher RN
Julia is a transformational leader in the post-acute care industry with over a decade of executive level experience. Her unique knowledge and expertise relative to older adults and their care needs has been cultivated through numerous roles she has held during her career.
From performing clinical research in an academic setting to serving in various leadership roles across the spectrum of long-term care services and ancillaries, Julia’s dedication, and commitment to high quality care for older adults is second to none. As an innovative, change management expert, Julia has demonstrated successful outcomes associated with building cohesive teams which she has led through process improvement, program development, and business development initiatives. Away from work, you will find Julia enjoying quality time with her precious daughter, Crosby, and giving back to her community through advocacy such as dementia care initiatives and programming for the Alzheimer’s Association.
As the Chief Innovation Officer, Julia leverages her experiences as a MSW Social Worker in Global Health, and a BSN prepared Registered Nurse. Julia’s passion is to create innovative and effective processes that stem from a “team first” culture. Through the development of an innovative team, patient quality is an automatic result.
